Bridging academia and industry in stretchable electronics: Yesterday, we had a very interactive and positive project meeting for our Research Foundation Flanders - FWO funded SBO project "SUBLIME: Stretchable and Ubiquitous Liquid Metal Electronics" with our industry partners. The future of electronics is flexible, stretchable, and adaptive, and liquid metal and self-healing polymers are paving the way! From academic breakthroughs to real-world applications, our discussions and touch and feel session in the lab focused on how to bridge the gap between research and industrial adoption. Scalable manufacturing, reliability, and integration are critical—turning lab innovations into market-ready solutions. Collaboration is key! Looking forward to shaping the next generation of soft and stretchable electronics together.
